IDPP is proud to announce that the latest book by Deputy Director, Dr. Filippo Trevisan: Disability Rights Advocacy Online: Voice, Empowerment and Global Connectivity is now available for purchase through Routledge. The book sheds light on disability rights advocates' embrace of new media technologies in unexpected and innovative ways, and asks whether the digitalisation of disability rights advocacy can help re-configure political participation into a more inclusive experience for disabled Internet users, enhancing their stakes in democratic citizenship.

IDPP at UN Habitat III: Contributing to a Disability-Inclusive New Urban Agenda

An IDPP delegation will actively participate in the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III) from 15-21 October 2016 in Quito, Ecuador. IDPP’s multifaceted contributions include: presenting at and facilitating accessible remote participation for the “Ecuador High Level Meeting and Forum on Disability Inclusion and Accessible Urban Development” hosted by UN DESA/DSPD on 16 October; and jointly convening the Persons with Disabilities Stakeholder Roundtable “Urbanization as a Catalyst for Disability Inclusive Development” on 19 October.
