IDPP Advisory Board Chair Ambassador Luis Gallegos Receives USICD International Advocate Award

Join us in celebrating a significant achievement within our community! Our advisory board chair, H.E. Ambassador Luis Gallegos, will receive the prestigious International Advocate Award at the 2024 U.S. International Council on Disabilities (USICD) Virtual Fundraising Gala on October 21, 2024.

Ambassador Gallegos is a distinguished Ecuadorian diplomat and advocate for disability rights, known for his pivotal role in the drafting and promotion of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Ambassador Gallegos is being honored for his exceptional contributions to advancing the rights of persons with disabilities on an international level.

The Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP) encourages everyone to register and participate in this meaningful event. Although the gala was traditionally held face-to-face, the shift to virtual events allows for broader participation. Additionally, by purchasing tickets or sponsoring the event, you can help raise vital funds for USICD’s ongoing advocacy work. Tickets are available for $100, with a 10% discount for USICD members. Special guest Ron Livingston will also make remarks during the evening.
