Institute on Disability and Public Policy Executive Director and American University Professor, Dr. Derrick L. Cogburn, will be featured as a moderator and panelist in multiple internet governance-related panel discussions in the 2024 North American School of Internet Governance (NASIG) Summit.
The 2024 NASIG Summit takes place in San Juan, Puerto Rico from February 28 to March 1, 2024. The summit features experts, academics, and policy professionals to share their specialized knowledge and influence internet policy development. “Confronting Truth, Trust, and Hope in Internet Governance” is the theme of this year’s conference. Attendance is free of charge and remote participation is available.
American University Kogod School of Business and School of International Service Professor, Dr. Cogburn, will help lead to 2024 NASIG in four panel discussions throughout the three-day summit. As a moderator, Dr. Cogburn will oversee the “Digital Literacy and Inclusive Internet Access” and “Understanding Internet Governance” discussions. In the “Trust as the Bedrock of Internet Interaction” and “Governing the Global Digital Economy” discussions, Dr. Cogburn will impart his niche expertise of digital landscapes as a panelist. In 2023, Dr. Cogburn served as a host of the esteemed conference held at American University.
