The Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP) is proud to highlight the upcoming 2025 Annual Symposium of the Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet), which will be held virtually on February 18th and 20th. The 2025 symposium will feature panel discussions on critical topics at the intersection of technology and global policy, including digital sovereignty, online speech governance, and the evolving challenges of internet regulation.
Co-founded by Dr. Derrick L. Cogburn, Executive Director of IDPP and co-director of the American University Internet Governance Lab (IGL), the GigaNet is an international network of scholars and researchers dedicated to advancing knowledge and dialogue on internet governance. The IDPP recognizes the importance of these discussions in fostering inclusive and equitable digital policies, which aligns with our mission to promote accessible and participatory policy development.
